MINNEAPOLIS (csssaints.com) -- With a time of 21:15.4, St. Scholastica's
Reitler Hodgert (Bend, Ore./Summit HS ) continued his march towards a NCAA Skiing Championships bid with a ninth place finish in the Central Collegiate Ski Association (CCSA) Championships 10km freestyle at Wirth Park Sunday.
Ian Torchia of Northern Michigan, bested all skiers, including non-collegiate national caliber racers, to win overall and the CCSA in 20:11.8. Teammate Adam Martin finished second in the CCSA in 20:39.8, while Jake Brown completed the podium sweep for NMU in 20:40.6.
Chris Parr (Eagan, Minn./Eagan HS) clocked 21:38.4 for 15th while
Ryan St. Clair (Bend, Ore./Summit HS (Walla Walla)) rounded out the Saints scoring in 21:45.2, for 16th. The Saints finished 4th on the day behind NMU, Michigan Tech, and Alaska-Fairbanks.

Chad Salmela lauded Hodgert's consistency this season. "Reitler was almost considered a classic specialist last year. Now he's even in each technique and that makes a huge difference in the NCAA qualification hunt."
The Saints close out the season next weekend in Ishpeming, Michigan at the NCAA Central Region Championships hosted by Northern Michigan University. The NCAA qualifiers will be announced the following Monday.
