csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's basketball team never led in a 91-76 Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) loss to Bethany Lutheran College on Saturday.

The Vikings scored the first five points of the game and never looked back. The Saints trailed 18-5 after five minutes had elapsed.
CSS, who made a program record 17 3-pointers in Friday night's win over Martin Luther College, was only 1-for-13 from beyond the arc in the first half of Saturday's game.
The Saints were within nine with under four minutes to play before halftime, but the Vikings finished the half on a 10-2 run to hold a 44-27 halftime lead. St. Scholastica made only one field goal in the final five minutes of the half and was just 27 percent from the field in the half. On the other hand, Bethany shot 50 percent in the opening 20 minutes and connected on seven 3-pointers.
The Vikings extended their lead to 25 at the midway point of the second half. The Saints made a small dent into that margin in the final five minutes, but Bethany Lutheran still comfortably prevailed 91-76.
The Saints shot 51 percent in the second half, but the Vikings also shot better in the half at 61 percent.

Brandon Newman (Barnum, Minn./Barnum HS) led St. Scholastica with 14 points.
Kory Deadrick (Esko, Minn./Esko HS) added 13 points off the bench and
Collin Anderson (Eagan, Minn./Eagan HS) also contributed 11 points off the bench.
Zach Dahlman (Braham, Minn./Braham HS) recorded five steals and
Dylan Zimmerman (Elmdale, Minn./Upsala HS) had a team-high five rebounds.
Top Performances for the Opponent
The Vikings had five players score in double figures led by Brady Rose with 19 points. Brandyn Frelix nearly had a triple-double with 10 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists.
