DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) -- The St. Scholastica men's soccer team dominated North Central University by a score of 11-0 on Saturday at Saints Field.

The Action
Starting off the mary-go-round of scoring was Shawayne Folkes (Toronto, Ontario/Maxwell Heights) when he landed a header to the back of the net off a corner kick in the third minute. Folkes went on to score two more goals before the match was over, all of his goals taking place within the first seven minutes. Folkes now has 10 goals on the season.

Also posting a hat trick on the day was Tom Corcoran (Warrington, England/Great Sankey HS, Priestley College) who scored two goals due to penalty kicks and one by way of a free kick. Corcoran is also one of the Saints leading scorers this year with 12 goals thus far.

Other CSS members scoring a goal Saturday were Kyle Farrar (London, England/Kelsey Park Sports College) (2), Kyle Hewitt (Richmond Hill, Ontario/St. Theresa of Lisieux), Jonny Harkin (Studley, England/St. Benedicts School) and Ryan Flynn (Adelaide, Australia/Modbury HS (Century College)).

North Central's goaltender, Gabe Hartwig had a rough go against the attack of CSS to say the least, ending the day with nine saves, two less than his goals allowed.

Chris Rothstein (Sauk Rapids, Minn./Sauk Rapids-Rice HS), St. Scholastica's goalkeeper, had quite a different day, only facing three shots on goal, two of which were saved in his first collegiate start. Rothstein has appeared in two games this year, both of which resulted in wins.

Up Next
