csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's soccer team trailed No. 23 University of St. Thomas 2-0 at halftime, but senior captain
Tom Corcoran (Warrington, England/Great Sankey HS, Priestley College) netted three goals in the second half to give the Saints a 3-2 victory Sunday.
The Tommies (5-2-0) jumped out to a 2-0 lead on a Miles StockmanWillis goal in the 36
th minute and a Mark Hedt penalty kick goal just before halftime in the 43
rd minute. Despite trailing 2-0 after 45 minutes the Saints out-shot the Tommies 5-4.
The Saints cut the St. Thomas lead in half in the 58
th minute when a penalty kick was awarded to CSS. Corcoran stepped up and buried his fifth PK goal of the season.
In the 73
rd minute, Corcoran struck again with the equalizer on a strike from outside the box that found the net. Just over four minutes later Corcoran drilled a free kick into the goal to give St. Scholastica a 3-2 lead.

Sandy Davidson-Hunt (Kenora, Ontario/St. Thomas Aquinas) made four of his five saves in the final 10 minutes to preserve the 3-2 Saints victory.
The Saints out-shot the Tommies 14-10 with both teams recording seven shot on goal.
