ST. PAUL (csssaints.com) -- The St. Scholastica men's soccer team beat the University of Northwestern 4-0 Saturday afternoon at Reynolds Field.

The Action
CSS got the scoring started early in the match when Jonny Harkin (Studley, England/St. Benedicts School) scored at goal in the ninth minute, assisted by Sean Morgan (Belfast, Ireland/St. Patrick’s Grammar School). Harkin went on to score again later in the game in the 40th minute for a pair of goals on the day.  Harkin now has five goals in six games played thus far.

Shawayne Folkes (Toronto, Ontario/Maxwell Heights) also tallied a goal on the scoreboard in between Harkin's two goals, scoring in the 26th minute off an assist from Tom Corcoran (Warrington, England/Great Sankey HS, Priestley College). Folkes has come out strong this year scoring six goals in six games, trailing only Kyle Farrar (London, England/Kelsey Park Sports College) with seven goals for the teams lead.

Corcoran was the final CSS player to get one by the Eagles goaltender, Turner Main, scoring in the 60th minute on a penalty kick. Corcoran has four penalty kick goals on the season. St. Scholastica had no problem getting to Northwestern's goaltender throughout the match, peppering the keeper with 12 shots on goal.

St. Scholastica goaltender Sandy Davidson-Hunt (Kenora, Ontario/St. Thomas Aquinas) had a relatively easy day, facing only one shot on goal during the match which he saved. This is the Saints third shutout of the season.  CSS has averaged over four goals in their first seven games this year.
