Notables-CSS had 14 top five finishes
ST. PETER, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica women's track & field team won four events on Saturday at the Lee Krough Invitational, hosted by Gustavus Adolphus College.
WinnersJordan Johnson (Poplar, Wis./Northwestern HS) won the 3,000m steeplechase with a time of 11:45.23.
Nicole Christianson (Coon Rapids, Minn./Coon Rapids HS) won the high jump for the second straight week, once again clearing 5'5" (1.65m).
Danielle Dickson (Roseville, Minn./Totino Grace HS/Roseville HS) took the long jump competition with a leap of 16'5.25" (5.01m).
Brittany Ludwig (Alexandria, Minn./Jefferson HS) won the discus throw with a mark of 136'3" (41.53m).
Top FinishersChristianson was runner-up in the triple jump with a mark of 35'6" (10.82m).
Jadyn Bonasera (Princeton, Minn./Princeton HS) was third in the discus throw with a mark of 116'8" (35.56m). She was also fifth in the hammer throw with toss of 125'0" (38.10m).
Sammi Argir (Chisholm, Minn./Hibbing HS) was fourth in the 100m dash with a time of 12.78.
Breanna Shofner (International Falls, Minn./Falls HS) was fifth in that event. Shofner then was fourth in the 200m dash with a time of 26.41. Argir was fifth in that event.
Taylor Gibson (La Crescent, Minn./La Crescent HS) was fourth in the 400m dash, posting a time of 1:02.67.
Emily Lundgren (Aitkin, Minn./Aitkin HS) was fifth in the 800m run, finishing in 2:27.33.
Casey Hovland (North Branch, Minn./North Branch HS) was fifth in the 5,000m run with a time of 19:02.33.
Up NextSome members will compete at the Phil Esten Challenge on Thursday and Friday, hosted by the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, while others will compete at the Holst Invitational next Saturday, hosted by Concordia University-St. Paul.
