The Saints advanced past the NCHA Quarterfinals for the eighth time in the last nine seasons with a 1-0 mini-game victory over No. 15 Lake Forest College on Sunday … Derek Hills (Campbell River, British Columbia/Timberline Secondary (Bowling Green State) ) had the game-winner in the mini game … CSS won game one Friday night 2-1, but the Foresters evened the series with a 3-2 game two win to force the mini-game … Tyler Bruggeman (North Mankato, Minn./Mankato West HS (Austin-NAHL) ) made 71 saves in the series.

Mini-Game Love: The Saints have won all three mini-games in program history … The Saints def. UW-Superior 2-1 in 2007 and UWS again 1-0 in 2010.
 
Postseason Success: The Saints have advanced to the NCHA postseason semifinals eight times in the last nine seasons, including a NCHA Championship appearance last season … The only time CSS did not make the semifinals was in 2011 when they fell to UW-Superior in the quarterfinals.
 
Highlighting Hills: Senior Derek Hills (Campbell River, British Columbia/Timberline Secondary (Bowling Green State) ) has seven points in the last three games, not including the game-winning goal in the mini-game on Sunday … He has scored all eight of his goals since January 16 … He has also recorded 13 of his 19 points since that point.
 
Wins over Top 5 Teams: CSS has defeated a team ranked in the top five of the USCHO.com Division III poll in eight straight seasons … However, the Saints have yet to extend that streak this season and have one more chance on Saturday.
