LAKE FOREST, Ill. (csssaints.com) -- The No. 13 Scholastica men's hockey team got revenge on Lake Forest College after Friday's loss, following up with an 8-2 victory on Saturday.

Plenty of Offense
It was the Saints show this afternoon through the first period and a half with CSS scoring six unanswered goals before the Foresters could stop the bleeding. Starting things off for St. Scholastica 13 minutes into the first period with a power-play goal was Cole Golka (Ardrossan, Alberta/Athol Murray College of Notre Dame (Dryden Ice Dogs-SIJHL)), his second of the season, off an assists from Derek Sutliffe (Las Vegas, Nev./Odyssey Charter School (Langley Rivermen-BCHL) ) and Justin Krabben (Rocky Mountain House, Alberta/Hunting Hills HS (Canmore-AJHL) ).

From there CSS scored two more goals within 40 seconds of each other before the period ended; the goals coming from Brandon Millin (Port Moody, British Columbia/Heritage Woods HS (Notre Dame Hounds-SJHL) ), who went on to score a hat-trick on the night, and Michael Spring (Kelowna, British Columbia/Okanagan Mission (Chilliwack-BCHL) ), his second of the year, who capitalized on a power-play opportunity.

Adding insult to injury, the Saints matched their trio of goals in the first period with three more in the second. Millin led the way with two goals before the halfway point of the period, finishing off his hat-trick, and bringing his season total to four. Also scoring in the second was Steven Phee (Balzac, Alberta/George McDougall HS (Canmore-AJHL) ) off an assist from Dylan Nowakowski (Calgary, Alberta/Centennial HS (Brooks-AJHL) ) and Mark Whiteley (Surrey, British Columbia/Holy Cross HS (Marian University)).

Don't Call it a Comeback
With a six-goal lead and six minutes left to play desperation kicked in for Lake Forest, and with the help of two CSS penalties, the Foresters' Shawn Nelson and Billy Kent scored a pair of power-play goals to end the period.

However, the Foresters run was short-lived as St. Scholastica did not allow another puck to cross the goal line and scored two more of their own before the night was over. Nowakowski scored first at 14:33 into the third period, then it was Phee who found the back of the net for his second of the night.

Goaltending
The name of the game was offense in St. Scholastica's victory, while Tyler Bruggeman (North Mankato, Minn./Mankato West HS (Austin-NAHL) ) stayed solid throughout the night with 16 saves, only allowing a goal while the team was at a disadvantage. Bruggeman has stopped 91 shots through four games this season and currently posts a .901 save percentage.
