RESULTSCABLE, Wis. (csssaints.com) - St. Scholastica senior Paul Schommer (Kimberly, Wis./Kimberly HS) and sophomore Reitler Hodgert (Bend, Ore./Summit HS ) finished a couple seconds apart in the men's 10km classic Saturday at the Telemark Chase with times of 32:09.3 and 32:11.6, respectively.
Kyle Bratrud of Northern Michigan continued his winning ways, edging teammate Adam Martin, 30:15.6 to 30:16.3 to go first and second overall in the Central Collegiate Ski Association (CCSA) race. Teammate, Erik Soderman, finished third in 30:39.2, to make it a perfect score for the Wildcats.

The first non-Wildcats in the standings were the Saints duo, with NMU's Ian Torchia in fourth. Junior
Joe Dubay (Coon Rapids, Minn./Andover HS) came home 14th in the CCSA to lift the Saints to second as a team over Alaska and Michigan Tech on the day.
Â
"It was a good performance," said Saints Head Coach
Chad Salmela. "Reitler had the race of his season to date and Paul skied into the race really well, showing improving capacity to push hard. Joe wasn't firing on all his spark plugs after being sick, but held a strong performance for a great team finish. I was also happy with the depth of the team performance. This team always makes me proud."

The Saints continue competition in Cable, with a 15km freestyle mass start Sunday.
