WINONA, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's track & field team competed at the Saint Mary's Open on Saturday.

Chris Lawson (Minneapolis, Minn./St. Anthony Village) set the first record of the day in the 10,000m run finishing with a winning time 32:01.05. Jacob Gallagher (Lisbon, N.D./Lisbon HS) was second in that event.

Jeremy Peterson (Hermantown, Minn./Hermantown HS) set the second program record of the day in the discus toss with a mark of 154'2" (47.00m). Peterson was runner-up in the hammer throw with a toss of 175'4" (53.44m). Peterson was also fifth in the shot put with a mark of 45'5.25" (13.85m).

Alex Horoshak (Two Harbors, Minn./Two Harbors HS) was runner-up in the long jump with a mark of 20'4.5" (6.21m). Luke McKenzie (Taylors Falls, Minn./Chisago Lakes HS) placed third in the 800m run with a time of 1:57.14.

Corey Anderson (Duluth, Minn./Hermantown HS) was third in the high jump, clearing a height of 6'0.75" (1.85m). Zach Visina (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) also cleared that height, but finished fourth. Anderson was also second in the triple jump with a mark of 42'11" (13.08m). Horoshak was third in that event.

Mike Naumann (Poplar, Wis./Northwestern HS) was fourth in the 400m hurdles with a time of 57.38. Kelin Dunfee (St. Paul, Minn./St. Paul Central HS) was sixth in the javelin throw with a mark of 149'7" (45.60m). Calvin Mehrhof (Coon Rapids, Minn./Coon Rapids HS ) was eighth in the 3,000m steeplechase, finishing in 10:52.78.

The Saints will be at the University of Minnesota Morris next Saturday for the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Outdoor Championships. Action is slated to begin at noon.
