DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica women's basketball team will take its five-game winning streak to Ashland tonight to begin the second half of conference play against Northland College. Tip-off is slated for 5:30 p.m.

- The Saints were very successful last weekend as they beat Northwestern in an 87-86 overtime thriller on Friday night and followed that up with a 91-65 win over North Central on Saturday afternoon.
- The Saints had very balanced scoring as they had three players in double figures in Friday's game and four in Saturday's game.

Kelsey Sorenson-Giffrow (Braham, Minn./Braham HS (Minn. Duluth)) and
Mariah Hovick (Prior Lake, Minn./Prior Lake HS) have led the balanced attack this season for the Saints as they are averaging 11.9 and 10.1 points per game respectively. Sorenson-Giffrow also leads the UMAC in 3-point percentage as she is converting 44.7 percent of her threes this season.

Erin Frase (Phillips, Wis./Phillips HS (UW-River Falls)) has been playing well lately as she has scored 12 or more points in three consecutive games. She is also fifth in the UMAC in field goal percentage at 46.7 percent.

- The LumberJills have had their struggles this season as they are trying to break a six-game losing streak. They recently lost to North Central 54-47 on Friday and Northwestern by a score of 71-54 on Saturday.
- Jessica Jaekel leads Northland with 10.4 points per game. She also leads the team in rebounds, grabbing an average of 8.7 boards a game, which ranks fifth in the conference.
- The Jills have struggled to take care of the basketball, averaging 22.6 turnovers a game.
