ST. PETER, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica women's tennis team was only able to win one match in an 8-1 loss to Gustavus Adolphus College on Friday night.
Madeleine Scanlan (St. Albans, England /Loreto College) at No. 3 singles was the only winner for the Saints, taking the match 6-4, 6-3. Scanlan, along with partner
Aleksandra Ochrymowicz (Winnipeg, Manitoba/St. Mary’s Academy), was in tight match at No. 2 doubles, falling 9-7.
Pamela Hartley (Lima, Peru/Franklin Roosevelt College) fell in three sets at the No. 5 singles spot by scores of 6-1, 3-6, 6-3. The Gusties are ranked 11th in the Central Region by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
The Saints (3-3) will play Division II programs Minnesota State-Moorhead at 8:30 a.m. and Minnesota State University at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in St. Peter.
