DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's soccer team continued its stellar UMAC play keeping up its undefeated conference record with a 3-0 shutout of the University of Minnesota-Morris on a windy day at Saints Field.
The scoring got started early for the Saints when
Tom Corcoran (Warrington, England/Great Sankey HS, Priestley College) headed home the ball past Cougar goaltender Cody Christ with helper credit to
Sean Morgan (Belfast, Ireland/St. Patrick’s Grammar School) to put the Saints up 1-0 just 9:25 into the match.
About a half hour later at the 37:49 mark in the half, the duo of Corcoran and Morgan struck again resulting in Corcoran's second goal of the game off of a one time pass from Morgan who got credited with his second assist of the match. CSS would take the two goal lead into the half largely due to the efforts of a stellar first half from Corcoran and Morgan.
The second half of the match went by relatively uneventful until late in the half when Jenkins drove home his conference leading 15
th goal of the season with
Jonny Winter (Healthfield, England/Healthfield Community College) notching the assist at the 77:31 mark in the match putting the score at CSS 3, Morris 0.
That score would end up holding for the remainder of the match until the final whistle blew giving the Saints their seventh conference win of the season.
With the goals today, the Saints now have the top three goal scorers in the conference along with the fifth place goal scorer as well. Jenkins leads with 15 goals,
Kyle Farrar (Sevenoaks, England/Kelsey Park Sports College) is in second with 14, and Corcoran has 13.
Shawayne Folkes (Toronto, Ontario/Maxwell Heights) is in fifth place with seven goals on the season.

Ben Cullen (Clough, Northern Ireland/Shimna Integrated College) (7), and Jenkins (5). Excellent job and excellent season thus far for the Saints!
