DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's soccer team took down Northland College in a 12-0 win at Saints Field on Saturday afternoon.

The Saints scored two goals early in the competition and didn't look back from there. Andrew Jenkins (Cardiff, Wales/Whitchurch HS) was quick to score the first goal for the Saints at just over five minutes into the game. He was assisted by Ben Cullen (Clough, Northern Ireland/Shimna Integrated College) and Kyle Farrar (Sevenoaks, England/Kelsey Park Sports College). A few minutes later, Sean Morgan (Belfast, Ireland/St. Patrick’s Grammar School) added to the initial momentum and scored an unassisted goal for Scholastica. That goal was Morgan's fourth of the year. Both of these goals came in the first 10 minutes of the game.

Farrar didn't settle for the assist, he scored the Saints' third and fourth goals for his 15th and 16th goals of the season. Farrar was assisted by Morgan on both goals and Jonny Winter (Healthfield, England/Healthfield Community College) chipped in on the second of the two. Shawayne Folkes (Toronto, Ontario/Maxwell Heights) spoke up in the match with the Saints' fifth goal. Assisting Folkes was Andrew Xotta-Dickson (Adelaide, South Australia/Prince Alfred College (Anoka Ramsey CC)) and Farrar. Scoring next for Scholastica was Jenkins again and not only once, but twice for his second and third goals of the 12 goal win. Morgan once again chipped in the assist on the first of the two while Jenkins put the other in by himself. Xotta-Dickson also decided his assist wasn't enough when he scored Scholastica's eighth goal and was assisted by Cullen and Morgan. That goal was Xotta-Dickson's sixth on the season.

Tom Corcoran (Warrington, England/Great Sankey HS, Priestley College) kicked at the net for the Saints' ninth goal and his 14th on the season. Helping him out was the Cullen/Morgan duo again.  Following that goal was Jenkins' final say in the game where he scored his fourth goal of the afternoon and his 19th of the season. Corcoran also wasn't done with his goal scoring when he scored the 11th goal for the Saints against Northland. He was assisted in his 14th goal this year by Erik Graham (Raade, Norway/Duluth Marshall School) and Marat Kudaibergenov (Semey, Kazakhstan/Semey Kazakh-Turkish HS). Folkes scored the final goal of the day for his ninth on the season and awarded Morgan his seventh assist of the day.

The Saints have now won eight straight games and tallied another UMAC win. Morgan broke Scholastica's record of four assists in a single game and raised that number to seven. CSS' record improves to 11-2 overall and 8-0 in UMAC play.

Northland College's goalkeeper Colton Schreyer saved 16 shots while allowing 12 goals on Saturday. Zeke Yslas and Thomas Jansen split the two shots taken by the Lumberjack's on Saturday. Both these shots were on goal. Northland's record now falls to 3-9 overall and 1-7 in the UMAC.
