Men’s Soccer Routs Martin Luther College 7-2

Notables:
-CSS extends win streak to six games and remain perfect in the UMAC.
-Kyle Farrar (Sevenoaks, England/Kelsey Park Sports College) and Andrew Jenkins (Cardiff, Wales/Whitchurch HS) are tied atop the UMAC scoring lead with 14 goals apiece.
-Sean Morgan (Belfast, Ireland/St. Patrick’s Grammar School) added his UMAC leading 13th assist of the season.

 DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – St. Scholastica men's soccer (9-2, 6-0 UMAC) defeated Martin Luther College (2-6, 2-3 UMAC) 7-2 Friday night at Saints Field to extend its winning streak to six games.
 
The Saints got out to a strong start in the first half scoring five unanswered goals. Tom Corcoran (Warrington, England/Great Sankey HS, Priestley College) opened the scoring in just the second minute with his 10th goal of the year.
 
Kyle Farrar (Sevenoaks, England/Kelsey Park Sports College) and Andrew Jenkins (Cardiff, Wales/Whitchurch HS) followed that with a pair of goals in the eighth minute. Farrar scored his 14th goal of the season and just over a half-second later Jenkins put home his 13th. Corcoran and Jenkins would each add another goal before the half's end in the 10th and 27th minutes.
 
Farrar and Jenkins are tied for the UMAC goal-scoring lead with 14 goals apiece. Farrar is tops the UMAC in points with 36 and Jenkins sits in second with 33.
 
In the second half Martin Luther struck first with Isaiah Horn chipping his third goal of the season past CSS goalkeeper Jacob Ballheimer (Gerrards Cross, England/Chalfonts Community College). In the 73rd minutes CSS would answer with Andrew Xotta-Dickson (Adelaide, South Australia/Prince Alfred College (Anoka Ramsey CC)) finishing off his fourth goal of the season from Sean Morgan (Belfast, Ireland/St. Patrick’s Grammar School). Morgan leads the UMAC with 13 assists on the season. Xotta-Dickson scored his fifth of the season shortly after in the 79th minute bringing the score to 7-1.
 
In the 86th minute Aaron Markgraf scored his third goal of the season for the Knights off of a free kick to make it 7-2. Knights' goalkeeper Caleb King made 18 saves.
 
With the victory CSS remains undefeated in conference play on the season.
 
The Saints play again on Saturday against the University of Minnesota-Morris at 2:15 p.m.
