DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's basketball team will host a pair of Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) contests this weekend, welcoming Martin Luther College on Friday and Bethany Lutheran College on Saturday. Saturday will also be Alumni Day.

St. Scholastica Saints

-The Saints look to rebound from a tough weekend in which CSS fell to Minnesota Morris and Crown College.
-In addition to this weekend's contests, the Saints also have the annual alumni game Saturday morning at 11 a.m.

Trevor Morlock (Rogers, Minn./Rogers HS (Minn., Crookston)) and
Jake Naslund (Barnum, Minn./Barnum HS) have led the way offensively for CSS. Morlock leads the team with 12.6 and 10.0 points per game, respectively. Morlock is also the UMAC leading rebounder with 7.9 boards per game.
-St. Scholastica has had difficulties shooting the ball this season. CSS is shooting 28.3 percent from beyond the arc and 63 percent from the charity stripe, both of which are second-to-last in the league.

Martin Luther College Knights
Record: 3-11 (2-1 UMAC)

-The Knights look to build a winning streak after defeating North Central University 79-73 at home on Saturday.
-Galen Holzhueter leads the way offensively for the Knights and is tied for the UMAC points lead with 20.4 points per game. He is also third in the conference with 7.1 rebounds per game.
-Holzhueter became the school's all-time scoring leader in Friday's 58-54 loss to Northwestern.
-The Knights are first in the UMAC in shot attempts per game, partially due to their conference-best 12.7 offensive rebounds per game.
-Martin Luther has also struggled shooting the ball this season. The Knights shoot 27.7 percent from three and 62.5 percent at the line.
-The Knights were picked to finish seventh in the league this season, according to the preseason coaches' poll.

Bethany Lutheran College Vikings

-The Vikings look to rebound from a 77-59 loss to Northwestern on Saturday. Bethany Lutheran struggled shooting the ball, going just 9-for-28 from three and shooting 36.5 percent in the contest.
-Jacob Wensmann has led the way offensively for Bethany Lutheran. Wensmann averages 17.5 points and 7.6 rebounds per game, good for third and second overall in the conference.
-Trent Kuechenmeister and Luke Roddy have also contributed offensively, averaging 8.2 and 7.9 points, respectively.
-Bethany Lutheran has struggled defensively this season, allowing opponents to shoot at a blistering 49.3 percent on the year.
-The Vikings are coached by first year head coach Greg Holzhueter, the brother of Martin Luther's Galen Holzhueter. Holzhueter was a three time first team all-UMAC selection in his career at Martin Luther, graduating in 2011.
-The Vikings were picked to finish fifth in the conference this season, according to the preaseason coaches' poll.
