Box Score DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's basketball team saw its season come to an end on Saturday with an 84-66 loss to UMAC regular season champion Northwestern College at the Reif Gymnasium.
With it being Senior Day, the Saints went with an all-senior starting lineup with
Brett Tester (Andover, Minn./Andover HS),

MarShaan Johnson (Minneapolis, Minn./Minneapolis North HS (Minneapolis Comm. & Tech. College)),
Matt Feuling (Foley, Minn./Foley HS) and

CSS quickly got back in it with a 9-0 run with five points coming from
Derek Steve (St. Cloud, Minn./St. Cloud Apollo HS). Northwestern then went on an 8-0 run thanks to back-to-back 3-pointers by Lance Westberg. The Eagles led by as many as 18 in the half, before the Saints went on a 7-0 run and went into the locker room trailing 41-30.
The Eagles shot 53 percent from the floor and made eight, 3-pointers at a 57 percent clip. The Saints shot 38 percent from the field and were 2-for-7 from beyond the arc.
Northwestern widened its lead to 19 at the start of the second half, but the Saints would not give up and got the lead down to three after a three-point play by
Jake Naslund (Barnum, Minn./Barnum HS) with nine minutes remaining. Unfortunately, that is as close as CSS would get as the Eagles responded with a 7-0 run and went on to win 84-66.
