DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – In its final game before the holidays, the St. Scholastica women's basketball team will look to extend its winning streak to four when it travels to face Augsburg College Saturday at 3 p.m.
- The Saints extended their winning streak to three last Saturday with a dominating 83-55 over Finlandia.

Elena Huber (Northfield, Minn./Northfield HS) led the Saints with a career-high 18 points while shooting 7-of-10 from the field and making four of her seven 3-point attempts.

Mariah Hovick (Prior Lake, Minn./Prior Lake HS) continued her streak of good play as she had a 14-point, seven-rebound performance against Finlandia. Hovick has scored 10 or more points in five of the Saints' seven games. Hovick also leads the team in scoring with a 10.9 average.

Kelsey Sorenson-Giffrow (Braham, Minn./Braham HS (Minn. Duluth)) has also been playing very well lately with 10 points in Saturday's win. She has scored in the double digits in the last five games. Sorenson is second on the team in scoring just behind Hovick with a 10.6 average.
- The 83 points in Saturday's win was a season-high for the Saints.

Augsburg College Auggies

- The Auggies started off their season with two matchups against UMAC teams. Their first game was against Crown College where they won 88-33 and the second game coming against Northwestern which resulted in a 55-42 victory.
- Since then they have lost their last three games, with the most recent coming on Wednesday night, a 79-59 setback at Concordia College-Moorhead.
- Augsburg does a good job taking care of the basketball as they only commit around 12 turnovers a game, while defensively they average 10 steals a game as well as three blocks per game.
- The Auggies have a +10.4 in the turnover margin.
- Jill Tichy and Jolene Blood lead the Auggies offensively, averaging 14.0 and 11.2 points a game respectively.
- Either Blood or Tichy have been the high scorers in four of the five games the Auggies have played this season.
