DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica football team remains in Duluth on Saturday, but will be at its second home stadium of the season when it hosts MacMurray College (Ill.) for a 1 p.m. kickoff at Public Schools Stadium.

Head Coach: Greg Carlson (6th Season)
-CSS is coming off its fifth straight Homecoming win, a 41-13 victory over Westminster College. The win was Head Coach Greg Carlson's 150th of this collegiate coaching career.
-Jake Jensen (South St. Paul, Minn./South St. Paul HS) became the all-time rushing leader in program history surpassing Christopher Henagin at 2,043 yards. Jensen is averaging 130.3 yards in the first half of the last three games.
-The Saints have outrushed opponents 1002-441 on the year and average 309.7 yards per game in UMAC play, which is second in the conference.
-Cory Gebhard (St. Croix Falls, Wis./St. Croix Falls HS) leads the UMAC in receiving touchdowns with five on the year.
-With two pick-6s in the Homecoming win, Mike LaValley (Superior, Wis./Superior HS) tied the program record for career interceptions with 11.  He is tied with former safety Justin Trautmiller.
-In the second and third quarters this season, the Saints are out-scoring teams 61-13, including 21-0 in the third quarter.
-The St. Scholastica defense ranks 35th in all of Division III and is ranked first in the UMAC allowing just 12.3 points per game and 243.7 yards per game.  The defense has forced 15 total sacks with Blake Cedarleaf (Mahtomedi, Minn./Mahtomedi HS) recording 5.0 of those sacks.
-Alec French (Isanti, Minn./St. Francis HS) and Tyler Zurn (Cottage Grove, Minn./Park HS) are tied with 27 tackles apiece and have combined for six tackles for loss and 4.0 sacks.

MacMurray College Highlanders

-MacMurray is coming off a 41-14 loss to new UMAC member Iowa Wesleyan.
-The Highlanders have played better on the road this season with a six-point loss at Martin Luther and a seven-point loss at Westminster.
-The Highlanders are second-to-last in the league in total offense and are last in passing yards per completion.
-Quarterback Caleb Horvath has thrown for 744 yards and five TDs, but leads the UMAC with seven INTs.
-Patrick Hall leads the way on the ground with 240 yards and two scores.
-Damon Byrd has 23 receptions on the year for 305 yards and two touchdowns.
-On defense MacMurray allows 437 total yards per game including 242.5 rushing yards.
-MacMurray has recorded only one sack, which is also the fewest in the conference.
-Joel Stevenson leads the Highlander defense with 40 tackles including six tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, and an interception.
-The Highlanders is ranked first in the UMAC in third-down conversions (26-57).
Series History: (CSS is 3-0 vs. MacMurray)
The Saints traveled to Jacksonville, Ill. last year to defeat the Highlanders by a score of 43-6.  The first play from the CSS offense resulted in an 80 yard touchdown run.  Mike Theismann (St. Cloud, Minn./St. Cloud Apollo HS) added three, 30-yard field goals while Chris Gassert (Moose Lake, Minn./Moose Lake HS) scampered 69 yards to make the score 43-0.  The Highlanders scored with 32 seconds left to avoid the shutout.
