Box Score DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com)- The St. Scholastica men's soccer team won its eighth straight contest Saturday at Saints Field when it defeated the LumberJacks of Northland College 10-0.
The Saints started their scoring right off the bat when junior
Andrew Jenkins (Cardiff, Wales/Whitchurch HS) put a header into the back of the Northland goal just 45 seconds into the match.
Jenkins wasn't done there. Less than four minutes later he buried another one past the Northland goalkeeper to make it 2-0 Saints only five and a half minutes into the contest.
Jenkins went on in this game to tally the Saints first five goals in the match, and later add an assist on the sixth Saints goal scored by sophomore
Tom Corcoran (Warrington, England/Great Sankey HS, Priestley College).
Corcoran would go on himself to score the next two goals making the score 8-0 in favor of the Saints late in the 60th minute.
The last goals of the game were scored by sophomore
Brandon Scott (Farmington, Minn./Farmington HS) making the score 9-0 in favor of the Saints, and freshman
Josh Robak (St. Cloud, Minn./St. Cloud Cathedral) making it 10-0. These scored marked the second goal of the season for both of these players.
In this game the Saints scored on 10 of 26 shots meaning that 38% of attempted shots found their way into the Northland goal. They also had a total number of 11 players record at least one point including three from
