| By:
Box Score DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica women's basketball team had every player on the roster score at least two points in a dominating win over the Crown College Storm Saturday afternoon at the Reif Gymnasium.  The final score was 100-56.   With the win, the Saints earned their first Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) victory of the year.

The opening half was all CSS from start to finish as Kayla Heisler (Remer, Minn./Northland HS) opened the scoring just 11 seconds into the game for the Saints with a 3-pointer on the first possession.  CSS made every basket attempt on the next six possessions to extend the lead to 23-6.

The Saints tacked on points on almost every possession throughout the half to grab a 54-27 lead at halftime.  CSS finished the first half shooting 61-percent from the field.  Crown finished out the half shooting 42-percent, but did commit 17 turnovers.

The second half was much of the same as every Saints player was able to get into the game and also in the scoring column.  The Saints would eclipse the 100 point mark, eventually winning 100-56.

Crown (1-8, 0-3 UMAC) was led by Judy Mundt with 23 points.  Mary Voss added 10 points for the Storm, who only dressed seven players.

The Storm finished the game shooting 37-percent from the field, 25-percent from beyond the arc, and 69-percent from the free-throw line.  Crown would grab 25 rebounds and commit 26 turnovers.  The Storm never had the lead for the duration of the game.

CSS was led by Erin Frase (Phillips, Wis./Phillips HS (UW-River Falls)) with 19 points and eight rebounds.  Lindsey Olson (Port Wing, Wis./South Shore HS) added 13 from the bench along with Elena Huber (Northfield, Minn./Northfield HS) adding 12 points.  Every player on the Saints' roster scored in the game.

The Saints would finish shooting 55-percent from the field, 35-percent from beyond the arc, and 71-percent from the free-throw line.  CSS would grab 47 rebounds and commit 18 turnovers.  The Saints once held a 46 point lead in the game.

St. Scholastica (4-10, 1-2 UMAC) will travel to Martin Luther next Friday for an away game followed by a game with Bethany Lutheran on Saturday.  Tip is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. for Friday's game.  Tune into csssaints.com for updates from these games.
