DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica football team will be out of the state on Saturday when they face MacMurray College (Ill.) in Jacksonville, Ill. in an Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) affair. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m.

  • The Saints are coming off their first road win of the season last week in a 21-7 defeat of Martin Luther College.
  • The 21 points scored in last week's win were the second-fewest scored in a victory in program history.
  • This will be CSS's first trip to Jacksonville, Illinois.
  • The Saints lead the UMAC in total defense, allowing just 257.8 yards per game, while MacMurray is at the bottom of the league, allowing 424 yards per game.
  • This is the first of two long bus trips for the Saints in the next three weeks. It is over 10 hours to Jacksonville, Illinois and in two weeks, they will make the 11-hour trip to Fulton, Mo. to play Westminster.

  • After failing to convert on their first red zone attempt of the season, the Saints have converted their last 13 straight.
  • The Saints failed to convert their first five fourth down attempts last week, but were successful on the sixth, a five-yard game-sealing touchdown with 30 seconds left.

  • MacMurray is coming off a 54-14 defeat at Northwestern College last Saturday.
  • In the two home games this season, MacMurray has lost by a combined 10 points (35-28 to Crown and 24-21 to Minnesota Morris).
  • In the season opener at Wartburg College (Iowa), the Highlanders were held to -5 yards of total offense in a 73-0 loss.

  • It was the Saints' highest scoring output at that time.
  • The CSS defense recorded seven sacks and 15 tackles for a loss.
