| By:
Box Score DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – A red card issued to the University of Minnesota Morris Cougars would become the deciding factor on Homecoming Saturday at Saints Field as the St. Scholastica men's soccer team would score two goals shortly after to claim the 3-1 victory.

In the first half the Saints and Cougars were at a deadlock until Kasey Bacso (Plymouth, Minn./Wayzata HS) hit the back of the net in the 41st minute, scoring his second goal of the season.  The Saints would go into halftime up by one, outshooting the Cougars 5-4 in the first half.

Just less than two minutes into the second half Ebrima Badgie tied things up for the Cougars at 46:48.  Then at 54:54, Minnesota Morris player Jacob Gindt was handed a red card, forcing the Cougars to play a man down for the rest of the game.

Sean Morgan (Belfast, Ireland/St. Patrick’s Grammar School) would score eight minutes later in the 58th minute to put the Saints in front, with Joe Watt (London, England/North West Kent College) getting credited with the assist.  Less than two minutes later Andrew Jenkins (Cardiff, Wales/Whitchurch HS) would convert his UMAC conference leading seventh goal of the season at 60:40, Morgan assisting the goal.

Adam Hewitt (Richmond Hill, Ontario/St. Theresa of Lisieux Catholic HS) made two saves to earn the win in goal for the CSS.  Cougar keeper Jacob Borash made three saves, facing a total of six shots on the day.

The Saints improve their record to 5-2-0 overall and 3-0-0 in the UMAC.  The Cougars fall to 1-5-1 overall and are 1-1-0 UMAC play.

CSS is headed to North Central University in Minneapolis on Thursday for its next action, game time is set for 4:30 p.m.
