Men’s Track & Field Competes at Hamline

ST. PAUL – The St. Scholastica men's track & field team took part in the Hamline University Invitational on Friday.

Justin Hanson (Atwater, Minn./Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City HS) was second in the preliminaries of the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.73 seconds and finished sixth in the finals at 15.72 seconds. Hanson also placed sixth in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 57.62 seconds.

Tom Lyscio (Baxter, Minn./Brainerd HS) placed third in the hammer throw with a mark of 174'5” (53.16m). John Howard (Big Lake, Minn./Big Lake HS) was seventh in that event with a distance of 150'11” (46.00m). Howard was also ninth in the shut put with a toss of 42'1.5” (12.84m) and discus at 140'11” (42.95m).

Alex Horoshak (Two Harbors, Minn./Two Harbors HS) was third in the triple jump with distance of 41'3.25” (12.58m). Peter Drinkwine (Superior, Wis./Superior HS) was eighth with a leap of 40'1.5” (12.23m). Christopher Doran (Royalton, Minn./Andover HS) was eighth in javelin, throwing a distance of 141'0” (42.99m).

The Saints will take part in the Falcon Invite next Friday and Saturday, hosted by the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. Friday's action begins at 3 p.m., while Saturday's events are scheduled to start at 11 a.m.
