DULUTH, Minn. – The St. Scholastica women's tennis team won its 99th consecutive Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) dual match on Saturday with a 9-0 victory over Martin Luther College in the Burns Wellness Fieldhouse.

Hillary Bungarden (Hibbing, Minn./Hibbing HS) and Rachael Zwiener (St. Cloud, Minn./Home School) came out on top at No. 1 doubles and also won in straight sets at No. 1 and 2 singles, respectively. Alexis Gunderson (Virginia, Minn./Virginia HS) and Allie Carlson (Aitkin, Minn./Aitkin HS) won at No. 2 doubles, while Jill Kammerer (St. Paul, Minn./Henry Sibley HS) and Kelli Johnson (Mankato, Minn./Mankato West HS) were victorious at No. 3 doubles.

Gunderson also won in a third set super-breaker at No. 3 singles. Cortne Solberg (Bemidji, Minn./Bemidji HS) at No. 4, Pamela Hartley (Lima, Peru/Franklin Roosevelt College) at No. 5 and Kelsey Geiger (Champlin, Minn./Champlin Park HS) at No. 6 all cruised to easy wins. The Knights fall to 2-7 overall and 2-3 in the league.

The Saints (14-6, 8-0 UMAC) will host the University of Minnesota Morris tomorrow at noon. The match will either take place at Central High School or in the Burns Wellness Fieldhouse, weather pending.
