PREVIEW: Men’s Basketball Back at Home on Saturday

DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's basketball team will play just its second home game of the season on Saturday when it hosts Concordia College-Moorhead at Reif Gymnasium. Tip-time is scheduled for 1 p.m.

  • The Saints are coming off a 79-68 victory at Finlandia (Mich.) on Saturday, December 15th.

  • Concordia is coming off a 78-75 overtime victory over Carleton College on Tuesday, December 11th, in which, Ebo Nana-Kweson hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to give the Cobbers the win.
  • The Cobbers defeated UMAC School Minnesota Morris in the season opener 78-76.
  • Concordia also played in the same Thanksgiving Tournament as the Saints in Superior and defeated the Yellowjackets in double overtime, but fell to UW-River Falls in overtime.
  • The Cobbers have also defeated Bethel this season, a team the Saints lost to earlier in the year.
  • Nana-Kweson is the only player on the team averaging in double-digits at 16.5 points per game.
  • Jason Huus is second on the team at 9.8 points per contest and leads the team with 5.5 rebounds per game.
  • Huus had 22 points in the win against Carleton.
  • The Cobbers down turn it over too much as they are ranked 13th in the nation with only 11.4 turnovers per game.
