Last Action: The Saints traveled to Stevens Point Wis., and came away with three points in a weekend series against the Pointers.  The 3-3 tie and 4-3 victory saw four total points from St. Scholastica's Brett Corcoran (Parksville, British Columbia/Ballenas Secondary (Trail Smoke-BCHL) ) on two assists Friday and two goals Saturday.

St. Scholastica Saints (9-5-3, 4-3-3 NCHA)
After earning a very important three points against conference foe Stevens Point the Saints find themselves in a tie with the Pointers for third place in the conference.  The Saints currently have 11 points, making this weekend's series vs. River Falls even more important, as the Falcons sit in first place with 14 points.  Corcoran's spectacular season continues as he is far and away the team leader in points with 26.  Corcoran has a team high 14 goals and is tied for the team lead with 12 assists.  Senior Jeremy Dawes (Winnipeg, Manitoba/College Jeanne Suave (Portage-MJHL) ) is the next closest point scorer with 19 on nine goals and 10 assists.  Tyler Miller (Fort Frances, Ontario/Rainy River HS (Thunder Bay-SIJHL) ), Carter Davis (Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan/Central Collegiate (Waywayseecappo-MJHL) ) and Austin Brown (Lathrup Village, Mich./Legacy HS (Woodstock-MJAHL) ) round out the top five scorers for CSS with 18, 17 and 16 points respectively.  Colin Rundell (Tees, Alberta/Lacombe Composite (Alaska-Fairbanks) ) has gotten most of the work this season in goal on his way to a 6-5-3 record including a .899 save percentage.

Wisconsin-River Falls Falcons (12-3-2, 5-2-1 NCHA)
The Falcons had a big start to their season going unbeaten in their first ten games on the way to an 8-0-2 record.  Since that point the Falcons have struggled a bit losing three of seven games, two of them conference losses including one to last place UW-Stout at home.  UW-RF looks to avoid a second half like last season when the played sub-.500 hockey after the turn of the year.  Justin Brossman leads the team in points with 22 on eight goals and 14 assists.  It is Geoff Shewmake however that leads the team in goals with 12.  Scott Lewan has gotten every start for the Falcons this year and has a conference leading .934 save percentage.

Last Meeting: (CSS All-Time Record vs. UW-River Falls: 35-58-5)
The two teams met at the end of January last year where the Falcons left Duluth with a 5-3 victory over the Saints.  Dawes, Carter and Ryne Bodger (Duncan, British Columbia/Cowichan Secondary (Merritt-BCHL) ) were the goal scorers for CSS in that contest.
