DULUTH, Minn. – The St. Scholastica men's and women's soccer teams will open Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) action on Tuesday when both teams travel to Ashland, Wis. to face Northland College.

The men's soccer team scored two second half goals to rally past Augustana College (Ill.) by a score of 2-1 on Saturday at the Cobber Classic, hosted by Concordia College-Moorhead. Andrew Jenkins (Cardiff, Wales/Whitchurch HS) and Erik Trochimchuk (Thunder Bay, Ontario/Hammarskjold HS) scored goals for the Saints.

The Saints suffered their first defeat of the season on Friday, 1-0, in overtime against Concordia College-Moorhead … Despite the setback, Coach Chastey could not have imagined a better start for the Saints, who lost the most successful senior class in program history … According to the latest National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) regional rankings, the Saints are ranked sixth in the North Region … Freshman Kyle Farrar (Sevenoaks, England/Kelsey Park Sports College) has recorded at least one point in three of the first four games of the season and sophomore Joe Watt (London, England/North West Kent College) leads the team with two goals … Sam Reed (Eastbourne, England/Causeway School) still needs two shutouts to tie the program record for career shutout.

Northland LumberJacks (0-4-0)
The 'Jacks have stumbled out of the gate, losing their first four games of the season by a combined score of 19-2 … Eau Rikhotso and Nikol Myhra-Edwards have the two goals for Northland … The LumberJacks have been outshot 108-18 this season … Goalkeeper Matt Larson has made 50 saves so far this year.
