ST. PAUL – The St. Scholastica women's tennis team was bested by the University of St. Thomas on Sunday by a score of 6-3.
The Tommies (4-0) swept all three doubles matches to take an early lead in the match. The singles matches would be tightly contested with four of the six matches going to super-breakers.
#Callee Conda# won her fourth straight match at the No.1 spot, rallying to win 0-6, 7-6 (7-5), (10-3). At No. 4, #Amanda Hiatt# also won by way of a super-breaker by scores of 6-0, 5-7, (10-7). #Hillary Bungarden# won the final match of the day for the Saints at the No. 5 spot 7-6, 5-7, (10-7) for her seventh straight win.
The Saints (4-3) will be off until spring break in a couple of weeks. The Saints will play their spring break matches in Orlando, Fla. and will open with Simpson College (Iowa) and St. Ambrose University (Iowa) on Monday, March 14th.
