WEST YELLOWSTONE, Mont. -- Sophomore
John Wessling (Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove HS) paced the St. Scholastica men's ski team in the 10 km classic with a 52nd place finish overall in a field of 130.
Wessling posted a time of 28:31.9, finishing 22nd in a stacked collegiate field of some of the strongest NCAA Division I programs in the country.
Alberta (Canada) World Cup Academy's Graeme Killick won overall in a time of 25:24.8, 8.9 seconds faster than Ski Club Vail's Sylvan Ellefson. Last year's NCAA Championship runner-up from Alaska Anchorage now skiing for The U.S. Ski Team, Erik Bjornsen, finished third, another 7.3 seconds back.

Paul Schommer (Appleton, Wis./Kimberly HS), in his debut as a Saint, also cracked the top half of the field in 59th with a time of 28:59.7. Sophomore
Ryan Wright (Wyoming, Minn./Forest Lake HS) rounded out the Saints' top three in 92nd with a time of 31:13.6.
The Saints return to Minnesota Sunday with tentative races scheduled the first weekend in December at Northern Michigan University and Michigan Tech, snow permitting.
