WEST YELLOWSTONE, Mont. -- St. Scholatica junior
Jeremy Hecker (Andover, Minn./Andover HS (Minnesota-Twin Cities)) tied for 38th place overall in field of 103, in the Saints ski team's season opener at the USSA SuperTour 15km freestyle on Friday.
Hecker finished the course in a time of 41:25.1 and finished 12th among collegiate skiers. Bozeman, Montana's Leif Zimmerman, a 2006 U.S. Olympic Ski Team member now skiing for Bridger Ski Foundation, won the race in a time 37:13.6. Ski Club Vail's Sylvan Ellefson finished second, 23.1 seconds behind Zimmerman, while Sun Valley's Michael Sinnott finished third another 3.4 seconds back.

Scott Johanik (Washburn, Wis./Washburn HS ) placed 66th in a time of 43:05.3, finishing 23rd collegiately. Junior
Kelin Dunfee (St. Paul, Minn./St. Paul Central HS) finished 92nd overall in a time of 46:40.9
The Saints complete their week-long on-snow camp and race series in Montana on Saturday with the SuperTour 10km classic race.
