DULUTH, Minn. – The St. Scholastica men's hockey team was able to capitalize on two power play opportunities as the team out shot ninth-ranked University of Wisconsin-Superior, but fell 4-2 on Saturday night at Mars Lakeview Arena.

Superior then answered just 46 seconds later as Josh Kesler scored an even strength goal from the slot to make it 3-1 Superior. After two periods of play the Saints managed to out-shoot Superior 17-15, but trailed 3-1.

Just 1:48 into the third period, the 'Jackets were able to increase their lead as Bob Roseland scored an even-strength goal to make it 4-1.  Just over two minutes later the Saints were able to capitalize on the power-play once again as Brett Corcoran (Parksville, British Columbia/Ballenas Secondary (Trail Smoke-BCHL) ) scored his third goal of the season with assists from Carter Davis (Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan/Central Collegiate (Waywayseecappo-MJHL) ) and Austin Brown (Lathrup Village, Mich./Legacy HS (Woodstock-MJAHL) ) to make the score 4-2.

The Saints were unable to find the net for the rest of the game and fell 4-2.  Colin Rundell (Tees, Alberta/Lacombe Composite (Alaska-Fairbanks) ) made 20 saves for the Saints as his counterpart, Ben Waalkens, made 25 for the 'Jackets.

The Saints out-shot Superior 27-25 and were 2-5 on the power-play as Superior was 0-3.
