Andrew Jenkins (Cardiff, Wales/Whitchurch HS) scored three times for the hat trick as the Saints handled the North Central University Rams 10-1 on Saturday at Saints Field.

The game against the Rams (2-10-2) was not only homecoming for the Saints, but also senior day, as Sam Reed (Eastbourne, England/Causeway School), Brandon Stemwedel (Grand Rapids, Minn./Grand Rapids HS), Ace Amin (Vasteras, Sweden/Rudbeckianska Gym), Bryan Olson (South St. Paul, Minn./South St. Paul HS), Tony Nixon (Two Harbors, Minn./Two Harbors HS) and Geofrey Kalanzi (Eden Prairie, Minn./Bojjas HS (Dakota County TC)) were honored at halftime.

The Saints jumped out of the gate early as Kyle Farrar (Sevenoaks, England/Kelsey Park Sports College) put in a goal at the 4:44 mark on assists from Amin and Nixon.  Jenkins followed suit less than a minute later, scoring on assists from Joe Watt (London, England/North West Kent College) and Olson, putting the Saints ahead 2-0 early.

Jenkins would extend the Saints lead 10 minutes later with assists from Stemwedel and Kalanzi.  Watt would go on to find the net two minutes later on a Farrar assist to put the Saints up 4-0 just 17 minutes into the game.

The first half scoring wasn't done there as Ben Cullen (Clough, Northern Ireland/Shimna Integrated College) converted on a free kick opportunity in the 21st minute.  Watt would score again and Erik Trochimchuk (Thunder Bay, Ontario/Hammarskjold HS) would add another before halftime, sending the Saints into the locker room with a 7-0 lead at halftime.

The scoring in the second half would slow down a bit, but Farrar still found the back of the net in the 59th minute to put the Saints ahead 8-0.

Christian Stepaniak would score the only goal for the Rams less than a minute later on a penalty kick, ending the shutout hopes for CSS, making it 8-1 Saints at that point.

Ben Wallace (Glasgow, Scotland/Shawlands Academy) scored in the 79th minute and Jenkins scored with 14 seconds left in the game to give himself a hat trick and the Saints a 10-1 homecoming victory.

Jenkins was the leading point scorer on the day with nine on three goals.  Watt and Farrar both ended the game with two goals and an assist putting their point total at five.  Trochimchuk, Wallace and B. Cullen each had a goal to round out the goal scoring for the Saints.  Rob Johnson (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) and Adam Wilson (Fargo, N.D./Fargo South HS) were the assist leaders with a pair each, while Nixon, Amin, Stemwedel, Kalanzi, B. Cullen, Trochimchuk, Wallace, and Olson each added one assist on the day.

The Saints (10-3-1, 6-0-1 UMAC) will take the field again at home tomorrow when the University of Minnesota-Morris Cougars (7-3-2, 6-1-0 UMAC) come to town at 2 p.m.  That game can be seen at csssaints.com on Game Central.
