Last Action: In the Saints' last game, they beat up on fellow UMAC opponent, Presentation College, by a score of 11-0. #Cody Sveiven# scored four goals and #Jermaine Dacres# netted three to give him a hat trick on the day.

St. Scholastica Saints (7-2-1, 4-0-1 UMAC)
The runaway preseason favorite to win the UMAC, the Saints have opened up with just that goal in mind … The Saints have won seven out of eight with a lone tie coming last weekend to Minnesota-Morris. In this eight game stretch, the Saints have outscored their opponents 26-3 … CSS is in the middle of six straight home games … The Saints have four players who have four goals or more on the year … Senior Captain Jermaine Dacres (Nottingham, England/Haywood School) is CSS's leading point getter with six goals and four assists … #Toby Peter# has five goals on the year to go along with four assists … Cody Sveiven (Coon Rapids, Minn./Coon Rapids HS) and #Rob Johnson# have four goals each on the year … #Brandon Stemwedel# is the team leader in assists with five … Goalkeeper #Sam Reed# has given up only five goals in nine games played, and has a goals against average of 0.55.

Northwestern College Eagles (3-3-1. 2-0-0 UMAC)
The Eagles were picked to finish third in the UMAC preseason voting and have opened up conference play with a 2-0-0 record, beating Morris and Presentation … NWC lost nearly half of last year's starters to graduation, so the team's starting 11 will have somewhat of a different look to it this year … On offense, the Eagles return last season's leading scorer in Sam Mann … As a freshman, Mann accounted for 10 of the team's 29 goals in 2009, adding 21 points … Jeremy Stiner is Northwestern's next-highest returning goal scorer … Stiner started 13 games last year, scoring four goals to go with two assists … Mann and Stiner are the team's leading scorers through seven games with two and one goal(s) respectively … Danny King, NWC's starting goalkeeper for the last two years, graduated in May, clearing the way for someone else to mind the net in 2010 … Josh Niedermayer, a junior, is the likely fill-in in the starting goalkeeper spot as camp begins, having minded the net for 400 minutes a year ago … Niedermayer has given up 10 goals through the season so far, for a 1.53 goals against average.

Last Meeting: (CSS All-Time Record vs. Northwestern: 35-11-3)
The Saints beat Northwestern last year by a final score of 6-2 in the UMAC Tournament Semifinals. Dacres netted two goals in the victory.

Crown Storm (2-4-1,1-1-0 UMAC)
Crown was picked to finish sixth in the UMAC for the preseason poll … With a loss to Morris and a victory over Presentation College the Storm have an even record in the UMAC at 1-1 … The Storm have three players who have scored two goals or more on the year … Mark Matson has scored three goals on the year to lead the team … Jon Schultz and Nathan Greene have two goals respectively … Schultz has the most points on the year with eight … The Goalkeeper spot has been shared between two athletes so far this year … Mark Jensen and Samuel Moua … They have each played in and started at least three games … Jensen has a goals against average of 2.75 while Moua is giving up just over four goals a game.

Last Action: In their last game, the Saints beat fellow UMAC opponent, Presentation, by the same score the men beat them by, 11-0. #Andrea Beatt# scored three goals in the first 21 minutes to give her a hat trick on the day. Goalkeeper #Molly Bergmann# didn't even have to make a save as Presentation only had one shot and it wasn't on net.

St. Scholastica Saints (4-4-1, 4-0-1 UMAC)
The Saints were picked to finish first in the UMAC preseason poll … If those results were to hold true, it would be CSS's seventh straight UMAC title and with the Automatic Qualifier on the line this year, no title will have meant more … The Saints have nine players with at least one goal so far, and ten athletes contributing with points … #Shannon Carlson# and Andrea Beatt (Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove HS) both have four goals and two assists to share the lead in goals, and points … #Megan Flesvig# is leading the team in assists with three … Both goalkeepers, Molly Bergmann (Walker, Minn./Walker-Hackensack-Akeley HS) and #Bailey Mahlum# are giving up less than a goal a game for a team average of 0.87 goals against.

Northwestern College Eagles (1-5-0, 1-1-0 UMAC)
The runner up in the UMAC preseason poll has gotten off to a sluggish start with their lone victory coming against Presentation College by a score of 6-0 … Northwestern's offense in 2010 won't look much different than it did a year before, as top goal scorers Rebekah Kirby and Kyrie Jorgenson return for another campaign … The combo was No. 1 and 2 as the UMAC's top point-getters last season, combining for 78 points … The Eagles' defense will have somewhat of a different look with the departure of all-conference players Lindsey Anderson and Rhonda Morgan … Anderson's sister, Heidi, will be back for her second year in an Eagles uniform as will junior all-conference winner Bridget Piche … Jorgensen and Kirby are again leading this year's Eagles offense with four and two goals, respectively, and are combining for 13 points so far this year … Anderson is leading the team in assists with three … Goalkeeper Tara Hanson has given up 15 goals so far this year for a 2.57 goals against average.

Last Action: (CSS All-Time Record vs. Northwestern: 25-8-1)
Northwestern was the lone team in the UMAC last year to not be beaten twice by CSS. In the first match-up of the year the teams dueled to a 0-0 tie. The Saints would best the Eagles in the later match-up by a 2-1 score.

Crown Storm (2-3-0, 1-1-0 UMAC)
Just like with the men, the Storm women were predicted to finish sixth in preseason polling … The Storm only have four goal scorers on the year … Natalie Worrest and Miranda Baltzer have three and two goals respectively … The duo has combined for 12 points on the year … Worrest and Baltzer to go along with Sara Brook are leading the team in assists with one each … The Storm split goalkeeper time between Merissa Mosher and Alyssa Hiebert … The tandem is giving up 3.60 goals per game.

Last Action: (CSS All-Time Record vs. Crown: 21-0-0)
The Saints outscored the Storm 8-0 in the two games combined last season, to win the first game 5-0 and the second game 3-0.
