SAINTS MEN WIN FIFTH IN A ROW OVER BETHANY LUTHERAN

MANKATO, Minn. – The St. Scholastica men's soccer team defeated Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) rival Bethany Lutheran College on Saturday afternoon by a 1-0 score.

With their fifth straight victory, the Saints improve their record to 5-2-0 (3-0-0 UMAC) while the Vikings fall to 4-2-0 (1-1-0 UMAC).

#Rob Johnson# scored an unassisted goal in the second minute, and it held up as the game-winner as #Sam Reed# earned his third shutout of the season. Reed made one save against the Vikings on the afternoon.

#Greg Doornink# led the Saints with two of the team's four shots on net, while #Jermaine Dacres# added the other. Evans Tackie-Yarboi had the lone shot-on-goal for the Vikings.

The Saints continue on the road on Tuesday afternoon, taking on the University of St. Thomas, with game-time set for 4 p.m.
