DULUTH, Minn. – The St. Scholastica women's track & field team hosted the Twin Ports Twilight at UMD's Malosky Stadium today and won seven events and broke a school record.
The lone school record was set by the sprint medley team of #Hallie Miller# (
Fr.-Cologne, Minn./Waconia), #Mariah Berg# (
Fr.-Bagley, Minn.), #Stacey Peterson# (
Sr.-Gilbert, Minn./Eveleth-Gilbert), and #Nikki Hughes# (
So.-South Range, Wis./Northwestern) which posted a winning time of 4:14.74 seconds.
Peterson was victorious in the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.04 seconds and Hughes won the 400-meter dash with a time 1:00.94 seconds.
In field events, #Katelin Domitrovich# (
Sr.-Ontonagon, Mich.) won the high jump, clearing a height of 4'-11” (1.50m). #Rachel Miller# (
Fr.-Hinckley, Minn./Hinckley-Finlayson) also placed first in the triple jump with a distance of 33'-5.25” (10.19m).

So.-Thief River Falls, Minn.) won both the javelin and discus toss with a distance of 91'-5” (27.88m) in the javelin throw and a distance of 111'-5” (33.98m) in the discus.
Other top performers include #Alex Aarestad# (
Sr.-Halstad, Minn./Oak Grove), who was second in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 16.38 seconds. #Emily Dunning# (
Jr.-Superior, Wis.) was also second in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:12.52 seconds. #Alec Seeley# (
So.-Cadott, Wis.) was second in both the shot put and hammer throw with a distance of 37'-6.75” (11.45m) and 149'-11” (45.69m), respectively.
The Saints will be in the Twin Ports again this weekend when they compete at UMD once again in the North Country Invitational on Saturday. Action is set begin at 10 a.m. at Malosky Stadium.
