DULUTH, Minn. – In rainy conditions at UMD's Malosky Stadium this afternoon, the St. Scholastica men's track & field team set two school records and won five events with #Tom Lyscio# (So.-Baxter, Minn./Brainerd) coming out on top in three of those events.

Lyscio won the shot put, discus, and hammer throw. In the shot put he had a winning distance of 47'1.5” (14.36m). In the discus he tossed it 131'-4” (40.03m) and in the hammer he had a throw of 157' (47.85m).

#Phillip Rien# (Fr.-St. Cloud, Minn./Cathedral) won the long jump with a distance of (6.38m) edging out his brother #Tyler Rien# (Fr.-St. Cloud, Minn./Cathedral). #Shane Dombrovski# (Fr.-Foley, Minn.) won the triple jump with a distance of 36'-11.75” (11.27m).

#Justin Hanson# (Fr.-Atwater, Minn./Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City) set the school record in the preliminaries of 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.89 seconds. #Nick Mangan# (Sr.-Brainerd, Minn.) also set the school record in the 3,000-meter hurdles with a time of 9:16.59 seconds.

The Saints will be in the Twin Ports again this weekend when they compete at UMD once again in the North Country Invitational on Saturday. Action is set begin at 10 a.m. at Malosky Stadium.
