ABERDEEN, S.D. – After a tie score at halftime, the St. Scholastica women's basketball team outscored Presentation College 45-21 in the second half on its way to a 70-46 triumph this afternoon.

The Saints improve to 9-12 overall and to 4-6 in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC). Presentation falls to 7-13 overall and to 3-7 in the league.

In a competitive first half that featured five ties and 11 lead changes, the two Saints squads went into halftime tied at 25-25. Both teams shot 38-percent from the floor. CSS went to the free throw line 10 times, but Presentation had the rebounding edge, 24-14.

St. Scholastica took control at the onset of the second half, scoring the first nine points. Presentation did not get any closer as later in the half, the Saints went on a 21-2 run over the span of nearly seven minutes to win going away 70-46.

CSS shot 65-percent in the second half to finish at 52-percent for the game. On the other hand, Presentation shot just 29-percent in the second half to finish at 34-percent from the field. The Saints made six, 3-pointers in the contest and scored 18 points off of Presentation turnovers in the second half alone.

#Laura Amys# (So.-South Range, Wis./Superior) earned her second career double-double with a game-high 16 points and 10 rebounds. #Kirsten Haukom# (Sr.-Marshall, Minn.) chipped in 14 points. #Kelly Cinquegrani# (Jr.-Buffalo, Minn.) had 10 points and five assists. Chelsey Stanley led Presentation with 11 points.
