LAKEVILLE, Minn. – The St. Scholastica women's tennis was defeated this afternoon 9-0 by Carleton College, who is ranked 10th in the region and 28th nationally, according to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA).
The Saints fall to 2-3 in the spring season and 3-3 overall. The Knights improve to 4-0 this year.
Carleton took the three doubles matches, giving up just two points in the three matches. The best chance the Saints had at a victory was at No. 5 singles where #Danni Sonnenfeld# (
Jr.-Harris, Minn./North Branch) lost in a close match 6-2, 4-6, (10-4).
The Saints will be on the road again on Saturday when they face the College of St. Catherine in their final match before their Spring Trip in March. The action is set to begin at 2 p.m.
