Head Coach #Stacy Deadrick# returns for her 17th season leading the CSS women's basketball program … The Saints were picked fourth in the preseason coaches' poll … The Saints will be led by their front court with senior Kelly Cinquegrani (Buffalo, Minn./Buffalo HS), junior #Laura Amys#, and sophomore #Bri Allen# all back in the fold … The Saints also added freshman #Lindsey Kingsbury#, who will see a lot of action early on … Amys led the Saints in field goal percentage (.462) and offensive rebounds (61) in 2009-10 … Allen led the team in blocked shots (24), free throws made (57), and free throw percentage (.838) … CSS's success this season will hinge on the play of the backcourt … The Saints lost a lot in graduating seniors Kirsten Haukom (Marshall, Minn./Marshall HS) and Katie Christensen (Elk River, Minn./Elk River Senior HS) … Junior guard #Erin Morstad# is coming off offseason surgery … so senior #Katie Kimm# and junior #Taylor Fellbaum#, along with freshman Savanna Treichel (Cambridge, Minn./Cambridge-Isanti HS), will have to replace the scoring output.

St. Olaf Oles (1-0)
The Oles are coming off a 5-20 record in the 2009-2010 season, but have opened up the season with a win as they defeated Waldorf College 74-66 Monday night … Mackenzie Wolter led the Oles with 20 points … Katie Lauer and Elise Raney chipped in 15 and 12 points respectively … Terin Euerele and Raney had nine rebounds to lead the Oles in that category … The Oles have won 10 games in a season just once in the last eight years.

The Saints and Oles last played in the 2008-2009 season. St. Olaf defeated CSS 44-40 at Reif Gym. Erin Morstad (Fergus Falls, Minn./Fergus Falls HS) had 12 points in the game to lead the way for the Saints.
