DULUTH, Minn. – The St. Scholastica men's and women's soccer teams will travel to Crown College and Northwestern College this weekend to close out regular season play.

In their last game, the Saints clinched the UMAC regular season title as well as the top seed in the UMAC playoffs starting next week. All nine seniors started for the Saints for the first time all year. #Andrew Ndekwe# had a five-point game with two goals and one assist on the day. Goalkeeper #Sam Reed# registered his program-record 12th shutout of the season and 27th of his career.

CSS has won its last four games, and has won eight of its last nine games…The Saints have five players who have four goals or more on the year … Senior captain #Jermaine Dacres# is CSS's leading point getter with 13 goals and six assists to give him 32 points. Sam Reed (Eastbourne, England/Causeway School) has given up only six goals in 16 games played, and has a goals-against-average of 0.37 to put him first in the UMAC in that category... Reed has 12 shutouts on the year, which is the program record.
Crown Storm (6-10-2, 5-6-1 UMAC)
Crown has been on a roll as of late, knocking off the No.2 and No. 3 teams in the league in its last two outings … The Storm will be going for the trifecta on Friday against the Saints … The Storm have five players who have scored two goals or more on the year … Mark Matson has scored 12 goals on the year to lead the team and is second in the UMAC … Jon Schultz has six goals on the year … Matson and Schultz have the most points on the year with 26 and 17 respectively … Mark Jensen has stepped up as the primary goalkeeper so far this year after sharing time with Samuel Moua earlier in the year… Jensen has logged 1280 minutes in net and has a goals-against-average of 2.11.

The Eagles have lost three of its last four and have fallen from second to fourth in the conference standings … Northwestern has already clinched a berth in the UMAC Postseason Tournament … Sam Mann is the team's leading scorer, and tops in the points category (10), with five goals on the year … Kellen Arey is leading the Eagles in assists with three … Josh Niedermayer, a junior, is the starting goalkeeper for the Eagles… Niedermayer has given up 20 goals through the season so far, for a 1.17 goals against average.

The Saints and the University of Wisconsin-River Falls played to a 2-2 tie in miserable conditions at River Falls. #Andrea Beatt# and #Claire Lubansky# each recorded goals for the Saints. The teams then played a shootout to determine the winner for the Chalice. The Falcons ended up winning the shootout 3-2.
