DULUTH, Minn. – The St. Scholastica men's soccer team made it a clean sweep for Homecoming weekend, defeating the Crown College Storm on Saints Field by a 1-0 final Saturday.
CSS improved to 9-2-1 on the season (6-0-1 UMAC), while the Storm fell to 3-5-1 (2-2-0 UMAC).
The Saints had their opportunities with 12 shots on net against Storm goalkeeper Mark Jensen, but CSS was able to score just one goal on the afternoon.
#Cody Sveiven# netted his sixth of the season in the 30
th minute, nearly colliding with a Storm defender in the box as he scored. #Ace Amin# and #Brandon Stemwedel# each had an assist on the tally.
#Sam Reed# earned his seventh shutout of the season, including three straight as he improved his record to 8-2-1 for CSS. Reed made one save for CSS.
St. Scholastica finished with 25 total shots while holding Crown to just five.
