ST. PAUL – After shutting out the University of Wisconsin-Superior in its final game of 2009, the fifth-ranked St. Scholastica hockey team started 2010 with a 4-0 victory over No. 7 Hamline University at Drake Arena this evening.
The Saints improve to 9-2-2 overall and are 6-1-0 in their last seven games. After sweeping fourth-ranked Adrian College (Mich.) last weekend, the Pipers fall to 8-2-2 with the loss.

Jr.-Wawota, Sask.) had the assists. Shots were at premium in the period as Hamline held a 5-4 advantage.
Chong struck again four minutes into the second period with his team-best seventh goal to make it 2-0 CSS.

Fr.-Parksville, B.C.) netted his fourth of the season to make the final score 4-0.

So.-Tower, Minn.) earned his second consecutive shutout, stopping 19 shots to improve to 5-2-0 this season. Beau Christian had 12 saves in the loss for the Pipers. There were a total of eight penalties and neither squad could capitalize on the power-play.
