22ND-RANKED COBBERS SHUT OUT THE SAINTS

MOORHEAD, Minn. – The St. Scholastica women's soccer team dropped its second consecutive match with a 4-0 loss today to No. 22 Concordia-Moorhead at the Cobber Invite.

The Saints fall to 3-3-0 this year, while the Cobbers improve to 4-0-0. The three losses for the Saints are the total number of losses the team had last year. CSS is now 2-9-0 all-time against Concordia-Moorhead, including having lost the last two contests. The Cobbers handed the Saints the second of back-to-back losses last season and St. Scholastica responded by winning 15 straight matches.

It was all Concordia-Moorhead in the match as the Cobbers out-shot the Saints 26-2. The Cobbers scored two goals in both the first and second half to earn the 4-0 victory.

#Bailey Mahlum# (So.-Bismarck, N.D.) made eight saves but had to take the loss for the Saints. Ali Nelson earned the win for the Cobbers. #Nicole Brandt# (Jr.-Rochester, Minn./Lourdes) had the lone shot on goal for CSS.

The Saints will be back in conference action next weekend when they play at Northwestern College and Crown College. CSS and Northwestern will get underway at approximately 4 p.m. on Friday.
