MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The St. Scholastica women's tennis team took care of North Central University by a 9-0 score Thursday evening at the Baseline Tennis Center.

The Saints improve to 16-8 overall and 9-0 in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) CSS has not lost an individual conference match all season and extends its UMAC dual match win streak to 70. The Rams fall to 2-6 in the league.

The Saints only gave up five games the entire night. In doubles action, the No. 1 team of #Callee Conda# (So.-Hibbing, Minn.) and #Katie Motley# (Jr.-Eveleth, Minn./Eveleth-Gilbert) won 8-0. The No. 2 team of #Natalie Urick# (Jr.-Virginia, Minn.) and #Danni Sonnenfeld# (So.-Harris, Minn./North Branch) topped their opponents 8-1 and the No. 3 team of #Liz Coyne# (Fr.-St. Paul, Minn./Highland Park) and #Ali Bernst# (Fr.-Thunder Bay, Ont.) won 8-0.

In singles, Katie Motley (Eveleth, Minn./Eveleth-Gilbert HS) blanked her opponent at the No. 1 spot 6-0, 6-0. Callee Conda (Hibbing, Minn./Hibbing HS (UW-Green Bay)) won at No. 2 by scores of 6-1, 6-0. The set scores were switched at No. 3 singles as Natalie Urick (Virginia, Minn./Virginia HS) prevailed 6-0, 6-1. Danni Sonnenfeld (Harris, Minn./North Branch HS) shut down her opponent 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4. Liz Coyne (St. Paul, Minn./Highland Park HS) at No. 5 and Ali Bernst (Thunder Bay, Ontario/Hammarskjold HS) at No. 6 both won by 6-1, 6-0 scores.

The Saints will have their final dual match of the regular season on Saturday when they host the University of Minnesota-Morris at the Burns Wellness Commons. The match is scheduled to begin at approximately 3 p.m., following the men's matches.
