ST. PAUL – The St. Scholastica men's track & field team participated in the Macalester/Bolstorff Twilight Meet tonight in preparation for the Drake Relays tomorrow.

The Saints would break three records on the night. The first record was broken by the 4x100-meter relay team of #Todd Belger# (Fr.-Bloomer, Wis.), #Wendell Booth# (Fr.-Deer River, Minn./Grand Rapids), #Tyler Hassel# (Jr.-Arden Hills, Minn./Grand Rapids), and #Garrett Cora# (Fr.-Duluth, Minn./East) that ran a time of 43.44 seconds to place fifth. Cora also broke the 200-meter record with a time of 22.54 seconds. Booth broke the school record in the triple jump, leaping a distance of 42'-11” (13.08m). He matched his school record in the long jump with a distance of 21'-7.5” (6.59m) to finish fourth in the event.

#Jake Turman# (Sr.-Duluth, Minn./Central) placed fifth in the 800-meter dash with a time of 1:57.02 seconds. #Alex Tuttle# (Jr.-Duluth, Minn./Central) finished right behind him in sixth with a time of 1:57.13 seconds. #Tony Evans# (So.-New Richmond, Wis.) placed fourth in the javelin, throwing a distance of 156'-5” (47.69m) and #Tom Lyscio# (Fr.-Baxter, Minn.) was seventh in the shot put, tossing a distance of 44'-2.5” (13.47m).

The Saints will have some members compete at the Drake Relays, beginning tomorrow. The Relays run through Saturday.
