CSS TRACK & FIELD COMPETES AT LEE KROUGH INVITE

ST. PETER, Minn. – The St. Scholastica men's and women's track & field teams sent a small number of members to the Lee Krough Invitational, hosted by Gustavus Adolphus today.

On the women's side, #Katelyn Meger# (Jr.-Webster, Minn./New Prague) was the top female finisher in the mixed 10,000-meter run with a time of 38:40.70 seconds. #Stacey Peterson# (Jr.-Gilbert, Minn./Eveleth-Gilbert) placed third in both the 200 and 400-meter dashes. In the 200, she had a time of 27.36 seconds and in the 400 she had a time of 1:00.15 seconds. Also in the 400-meter dash, #Nicole Hughes# (Fr.-Lake Nebagamon, Wis./Northwestern) placed eighth with a time of 1:01.52 seconds.

On the men's side, #Tom Lyscio# (Fr.-Baxter, Minn.) broke a school record in the shot put, throwing a distance of 47'-1” (14.35m). That distance placed him ninth out of 44 throwers. #Tony Evans# (So.-New Richmond, Wis.) finished fifth out of 54 in the javelin, tossing a school-record distance of 167'-1” (50.94m). #Cyrus Beckwith# (So.-Saginaw, Minn./Proctor) also broke school record in the pole vault, clearing a height of 12'-1.5" (3.70m).

The Saints will be in Duluth on Tuesday when they compete in the Twin Ports Twilight at the University of Minnesota-Duluth.
