DULUTH, Minn. – The seventh-ranked St. Scholastica hockey team plays host to the Bridge Battle this weekend as the 12th-ranked University of Wisconsin-Superior Yellowjackets come to town for a two-game series at Mars Lakeview Arena.

The Yellowjackets are 7-3-1 on the year and 2-1-1 in the conference. They split their last series with UW-Stevens Point last weekend. The Saints are 6-2-2 on the year and 3-1-2 in the conference. After beating St. Norbert in the first game last weekend 4-3 in overtime, they fell to the Green Knights 4-2 to split the weekend series.

Overall the Saints are 29-71-5 against the Yellowjackets. In last year's Bridge Battle the two teams split the series 1-1, with Superior winning the last game of the regular season 4-3.

#Jeff Gagnon# (Sr.-Quesnel, B.C.) leads the Saints in assists (7) and points (9). #Riley Riddell# (Jr.-Wawota, Sask.) and #Tyler Miller# (Fr.-Fort Frances, Ont.) each have scored four goals on the year to lead the team in that category. Both goaltenders, #Zach Kleiman# (Sr.-Ottawa, Ont.) and #Brennan Poderzay# (So.-Tower, Minn.), have seen considerable time in the net this year. The tandem is only giving up 2.5 goals per game.

For the 'Jackets, Braden Desmet and Chris Wilson lead the team in points (14). Tyler Fletcher leads the team with seven goals, and Desmet leads the team with 11 assists. Goalies Jim Patterson and Garrett Tinkham are also sharing the load, giving up just 2.2 and 3 goals a game respectively.
