Chris Hamers joins the men’s basketball staff in 2012-13, just removed from a stellar playing career for the Saints.
Hamers, who was a sharpshooter, was the 2009 UMAC Tournament’s Most Valuable Player after scoring 15 of his 23 points in the final 5:26 and made seven second half 3-pointers in the UMAC Tournament championship game vs. Bethany Lutheran.
Hamers was an honorable mention All-UMAC selection in 2011-12 after leading the conference with 53 made 3-point field goals. His 3.7, 3-pointers per game ranked fourth in NCAA Division III. Hamers had 201, 3-pointers for his career, which are the second-most all-time.
