Seth Betts will be entering his third season at Saint Scholastica in 2025-26. He serves as the Director of Player Development. BettsĀ oversees all skill and athletic development and is responsible for programming and training initiatives for both pitchers and position players.

In two seasons the pitching staff lowered its ERA from 6.59 in 2023 to 4.06 in 2025. The Saints lead the conference in least amount of walks on the season, and ranked top 4 in the MIAC in all major pitching categories.Ā 

Prior to joining St.Ā Scholastica in 2023Ā BettsĀ worked as the Director of Baseball and Director of Hitting at Starters Sports Training in Burnsville, MN. In this role,Ā BettsĀ workedĀ directly with Starters hitters and oversaw the club baseball operations as well.

As a player, BettsĀ was Crown College's first-ever UMAC major award winner when the shortstop won the UMAC Player of the Year award. That seasonĀ BettsĀ ranked first in runs scored (52), hits (58), and finished fourth in slugging percentage (.745) and RBI (37). Of his 58 hits, 30 went for extra bases asĀ BettsĀ finished the season with 13 doubles, a league-best eight triples, and nine home runs.Ā BettsĀ also stoleĀ a UMACĀ best 32 bases.Ā In 2022,Ā BettsĀ led Crown College to itsĀ first ever conference championship after hitting .450/.537/.781 and leading the nation with 42 stolen bases.

In 2023, (Pre-Season All-American) BettsĀ finished up his college baseball career by hitting .375 with 24 extra-base hits and 38 stolen bases.Ā BettsĀ earned his 3rd All-Region award of his career and 5th all-conference award. In totalĀ BettsĀ finished his college baseball career with 11 Crown College career records (OBP % .474) (Runs 248) (Hits 272) (Doubles 57) (Triples 26) (RBI's 157) (TB 468) (BB 112) (HBP 31) (SB 133) (Assists 354),Ā 5 single-season records (Runs 66) (Hits 76) (Triples 8) (HBP 11) (SB 42), and 7 single-game records (Runs 5) (Hits 5) (Triples 2) (HR 2) (TB 11) (SB 5) (Assists 9). Betts also hit the only two cycles in the history of the Polars program.Ā 

Following the conclusion of his career SethĀ Betts'sĀ iconic number 2 jersey was retired by Crown College baseball to commemorate not only his incredible career but his hard work and dedication to his teammates.

Prior to his time at Starters Sports Training,Ā BettsĀ was a Sports Performance Graduate Assistant at Crown College where he earned his Masters Degree in Sports Performance.Ā BettsĀ earned his Bachelor's degree from Crown College as well in Exercise Science.
